CONVERSATIONS TOWARDS ACTION: CLIMATE CHANGE
Join us at Buncrana Community Library on Tuesday, 19 November 2024, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM for a lunch-and-learn session on climate change. They will provide winter soup while discussing how we can take action individually and collectively as the general election in Ireland approaches.
Recent Oxfam research shows that the carbon emissions from just 50 of the world’s wealthiest individuals exceed those of the poorest 2% of the global population. Climate change is linked to inequality, with the wealthy causing the most harm and the poorest suffering the most.
Now is the time to advocate for policies that reduce pollution and inequality. Join ChangeMakers Donegal to explore these urgent issues and enjoy activities such as:
– A warm cup of organic soup from the Corner Deli, Buncrana and White Oaks Organic Farm
– A visit to ChangeMakers’ partner Self Help Africa’s Africa Adapting Photo Exhibition
– A group exercise to share your thoughts on climate change
– Information from local community groups involved in climate action
