Name: Kieran McHugh
Route: Biodiversity and Gardening
Action:
I have allowed a part of my garden to grow wild and the seed bank in the soil to flourish to promote biodiversity. This native wildflower patch provides an area of refuge and food for feeding and nesting insects, birds and other wildlife. Not only does this support our most endangered pollinators, but it also requires less maintenance like watering and regular mowing, resulting in water conservation and less fuel and exhaust fumes, that pollute the air.
