ChangeMakers Donegal spotlights sustainability at ECO Inishowen: A Celebration

INISHOWEN’S community members who champion sustainability and environmental protection, will be gathering as part of special event during Heritage Week in Carndonagh in

August.

ECO Inishowen: A Celebration aims to acknowledge the local heroes of our peninsula who are working within the community to improve biodiversity, create more sustainable practices and generally doing their utmost to protect our environment.

The event will be hosted by our lead partner, Inishowen Development Partnership in the Colgan Hall in Carndonagh on August 17 from 12.30pm.

ChangeMakers Donegal is pleased to take part with a showcase of our Elder Tree Video Series featuring Patsy Toland interviewing local Carndonagh women about their experience of education and factory working.

To celebrate the recent launch of our new Sustainability Passport programme for individuals, community groups, businesses and social enterprises, we have partnered with Artlink Fort Dunree to develop a photo exhibition of the local sustainability heroes who are operating in sustainable ways to serve their local community. Anyone championing sustainability in the local community is welcome to come along and have their photo taken on the day. If possible, you are invited to bring along something that symbolises your commitment to sustainability in your life, trade, or craft, e.g. a plant.

All welcome.
