Rights of Nature Documentary and Discussion at Clonmany Festival

Join us at the Disappear Here Film Club during the Clonmany Festival for a screening of the Rights of Nature documentary and a panel discussion on Friday 11 August 2023 at 5pm at the Clonmany Community Centre.

The Environmental Justice Network Ireland has produced a short film in collaboration with organisations and individuals from across the island of Ireland and beyond that explores the concept of rights of nature.

The Rights of Nature concept is as “a way of rethinking our relationship with nature, from one of dominance to one of sharing, caring, respect and interdependency”.

With the European Parliament having approved the landmark Nature Restoration Law earlier this month, now is an opportune time for our local community to reflect on the opportunities presented by a regenerative approach to living, here in Donegal.

After the documentary, a short panel discussion featuring Rose Kelly of the local Rights of Nature campaign and Boyd Bryce, a local farmer from Inch Island, Co. Donegal, will take place.
